Hon Mieu island - Nha Trang bay

Hon Mieu island

Hon Mieu island also known as Tri Nguyen island or Bong Nguyen island, with an area of approximately 1.3 square kilometers and is the best inshore island in Nha Trang Bay, so here has the pretty crowded population, formed a fishing village since long time ago, and still exists until today. Tri Nguyen aquarium
Hon Mieu island

Tri Nguyen aquarium is designed to a fossil ship shape with clinging moss, inside is a miniature ocean with many rare species of marine life, especially live corals farmed as in ocean. The aquarium system is divided into 2 areas as indoor and outdoor:

- Indoor consists of 3 floors: 1st floor is a large lake, was designed as a glass tunnel, you can clearly see a lot of marine species, typically as sharks, grouper, arowana, eels... Floor 2 and 3 are the places sell souvenir items, and seafood restaurants.

- Outdoor raising a lot of familiar fish such as mackerel, tuna, rays... or hiding in the coral grottos is big squids, lobsters up to 3kg... The aquarium here is covered with coral stone, and water lake level equal to sea level.


Bai Soi beach

Bai Soi beach also known as Bai San beach, located on the southeast of Hon Mieu island. The road from Tri Nguyen aquarium to Bai Soi beach now very well, you can walk and watching the island scenery and green hills on the way to Bai Soi beach.

Called Bai Soi beach, because here has numerous piled gravel with a lot of shapes, sparkling under sunlight. The beach is warm year round, with gentle waves and clear blue water, ideal for bathing or snorkel diving in the nearby cliffs.


Bai Tranh beach

The end of Bai Soi beach is a long cliff, passing this cliff arriving Bai Tranh beach, which is also a popular attraction of Hon Mieu island. Here has a beach with a lot of gravel, but also has a sandy beach with clear blue water, ideal for bathing.

In addition, Bai Tranh beach has many water sports such as jet skiing, parachute-pulled canoe, snorkel diving, or coral viewing by glass bottom boat... On the shore are the leaf hut and wooden chairs for visitors relax and enjoy fresh seafood.


Hon Mieu fishing village

The fishing village located southwest of Hon Mieu island. People here live mainly by aquaculture and fishing, formed a lot of fish cages, lobster, squid, oysters, snails, crabs... Tourist boats arrive fishing village, often will parked close to these rafts. First is visiting, and then tourists can enjoy fresh seafood right on the raft.

Then, from the rafts of Hon Mieu fishing village, visitors are transferred to shore by a small ferry and dragged by a rope, a little lurch but interesting. Some visitors also hire a traditional basket boat of fishermen to try rowing ashore, and get some fun experience.
